BBC – 500 words competition

We are delighted to be taking part in BBC 500 Words, the national creative-writing competition for children aged 5-11. The competition gives children an opportunity to use their imagination, develop an original idea and write for a real audience. The emphasis is on creativity and enjoyment rather than perfect spelling, punctuation or grammar.

Completed stories must be returned to class teachers by Monday 19th October 2026.
