Academisation Development Consultation

Following the Archdiocese’s vision to strengthen Catholic education through larger, flourishing Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts, St Raphael the Archangel CMAT was established on 1 September 2026.

The next proposed phase is for Pope Francis Catholic MAC, Holy Cross Catholic MAC, Romero Catholic Academy and eleven Voluntary Aided schools to join St Raphael the Archangel CMAT on 1 September 2027. This consultation provides an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the proposal and share their views on the future of Catholic education across our communities.

As part of the process, we are now consulting the parents, parishes, and community of our schools for the period 4th September 2026 to 16th October 2026. See letter here  which includes a form to send your comments.

Saint John Fisher Catholic Primary School

A very warm welcome to the Saint John Fisher School website.
It is both an honour and a privilege to serve as Principal of this wonderful school community. At Saint John Fisher, we are proud of the strong partnership we share with our governors, staff, families and parish. Together, we are committed to providing the very best start in life for every child, nurturing them to grow in confidence, faith and achievement.
As a Catholic school, our mission statement, ‘Through Christ we live, love and learn in our caring community,’ remains at the heart of all we do. We strive to ensure that every individual who enters our school is welcomed into a culture built on love, respect and compassion. Our faith underpins our daily life and guides us as we support each child on their unique journey.
We are dedicated to delivering a high-quality education that inspires a love of learning and a desire to succeed. Alongside strong academic outcomes, we place great importance on developing the whole child, recognising and nurturing each individual’s God-given talents, skills and character.
Through a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, we aim to develop happy, confident and articulate learners who are well-prepared for the challenges of an ever-changing world. We want our children to leave Saint John Fisher as resilient, independent thinkers who are ready to contribute positively to society and live out the values of our faith.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.

Mrs D Kingham
