We are looking forward to teaching and helping your child develop and grow over the course of Year 1.
We hope that your child can read as regularly as possible; we have an expectation that children read at home 5 times a week and they will receive a merit for this. Reading books will be changed on a Monday if they have been read, but books will need to be brought into school daily regardless. Homework will be sent home on a Monday and is due in on the Thursday of that week – we alternate between Maths and English homework each week.
