Year 2 Team Welcome

Hello and welcome to Year 2!

We are looking forward to teaching and helping your child develop academically and spiritually over the course of Year 2. During this year, we will help your child to develop the skills required to become a confident, reflective and resilient learner. Here in Year 2 we aim to provide your children with active and engaging learning experiences, which will become a lasting memory for them.

Reading is very important in Year 2 and there is an expectation that children should read on a daily basis. We understand that family life is busy and even if you are only able to read a few pages, this will be beneficial to your child. It would be great if you could sign your child’s reading diary each time you read together. The children will be given Maths or English homework on a Friday which is due in on the following Thursday. They will also have Weekly Spellings to learn.
